The Kursaal
During its heyday, The Kursaal was a popular venue for rock legend gigs and fun family days out. However, the venue faced a steady decline during the 1970s which led to the closure of its outdoor amusements in 1973 and main building in 1986. It was later reopened in 1998 with a bowling alley, a casino, and other amusements. Unfortunately the bowling alley closed permanently in 2019 and was followed by the permanent closure of Rendezvous casino in 2020. This currently leaves a Tesco Express store as the building’s last remaining occupant.
