The park covers 27 hectares or 67 acres that contains various ornamental gardens, colourful bedding displays, an environmental garden, a courtyard-style sun garden, and a rose garden recognized by the The Rose Society UK (formerly the National Rose Society). Events

Village Green is a fun family-friendly multi-art form and music festival that takes place at the park every year. The festival is produced by Metal Culture on the grounds of a beautiful Victorian garden in Chalkwell Park. Previous Village Green festivals have had big name acts in the show such as Kate Nash, Rag N Bone Man, and many more. The festival focuses on family-centred fun where children and adults can have fun together through their many arts-led activities.

You can also take your loved ones with dementia to the park, as the area is considered dementia friendly.
