Thundersley is a town located in southeast Essex, and it is on the clay ridge of Basildon and Hadleigh. The name of the town means “grove or meadow” that belongs to the God, Thor. Before it was named Thundersley, it was named Thunresleam and Thunreslea. It is bounded by the A127 road to the north.
