Admiral Park and Tower Garden, Chelmsford
The Tower Garden has one of the most iconic pieces in the history of Chelmsford. There is a raised ground in the garden with a 250+ year crafted structure that you can see from the lower side of the park. This stone-crafted artifact is situated at the top of the city towns and used to distribute water in the city area back in the early 1800s. In around 1850, there were other water suppliers in the town so this structure ceased distributing it. It was converted to spring later that year before it got demolished because of obstruction and later moved to its current place.
The Admiral Park is well-known due to its vast collection of wildlife. The presence of wild animals is partly due to part of the River Can that flows through this garden. Not only is this garden helpful for leisure, but it also brings many habitats together. It also gives the animals a chance to access the city center, thus bringing revenue to the authorities because of the tourists flooding it. The garden has a mixture of habitat that gives food and shelter to various species. You can spot fish such as Kingfishers on the banks of River Can that flows in the garden.
The Admiral Park also has a woodland area where you can see woodpeckers, squirrels among others. There are also rabbits and slow worms in the grassland at the park. This is a safe place to chill and pass the time, and it is close to parks such as west park and Marconi ponds park. There is never a dull moment here as there are coffee areas and a bar where you can buy any drink to make the experience more fun.
